Residents who use Turnberry Ridge Park have another date to put on the calendar: October 29, 2026.

A community meeting that evening will review park design concept options and proposed amenities as renovation planning continues.

The session is scheduled for 5–6 p.m. at the park, 910 Cobblefield Road in Champaign.

Admission is free, giving neighbors a direct opportunity to discuss a public space they may use throughout the year.

The two-meeting process begins October 6 with a discussion of ideas and design priorities.

The later session offers a different task: considering the concepts and amenities proposed for the park.

Feedback from the second meeting is intended to inform the final design master plan.

That plan is scheduled to be presented at the Park District Board meeting on December 9.

These are planning steps, rather than confirmation that a particular amenity or construction schedule has been approved.

If you attend, think about what works well today and what makes a visit less comfortable or convenient.

Specific examples from your own use of the park can make feedback easier to understand.

Families, walkers, and other regular visitors may have different priorities, so describing your experience matters more than guessing what everyone wants.

The announced rain location for October 29 is Bresnan Meeting Center, 706 Kenwood Road.

Check the meeting details before leaving home if weather could move the discussion indoors.

The useful next step is simple: reserve the hour and bring clear comments on the proposed plans.

No final amenity list or construction start date is confirmed in this meeting announcement.
